Transjakarta Workers Discipline Tightened

Jakarta Governor, Basuki T. Purnama assessed that the dismissal of 150 Transjakarta workers is related with discipline issue.

Basuki uttered Transjakarta has advanced its service for better performance. One of the ways is tightening the discipline.

“We did not dismiss them all. We still give room for better workers,” he said, Thursday (9/1).

By replacing the direction, the number of Transjakarta passenger keeps increasing. There are 11.58 million people during August. Previously, it was 5-6 million people only.

Basuki does not hesitate to raise the worker salary based on 3.5 times province minimum wage for the better service.

“If we offer you 3.5 times salary, you should advance your performance and discipline,” he added.
